Caterpillar’s first electric drive wheel loader joins the 986K and 988K to provide our customers the ideal loader for every application. The system provides a 25 percent increase in fuel efficiency and a 10 percent productivity increase in load-and-carry applications compared to the 988K.
A proof-of-concept battery electric load-haul-dump (LHD) machine developed by Caterpillar is currently being tested in an underground mine. Once released, we expect the product to address the needs of customers working in deep mines, where they face high ambient rock temperatures and equally high ventilation costs.
The new Cat® MD6250 blasthole drill delivers optimum drilling efficiency in single- and multi-pass applications for both rotary and down-the-hole modes. Featuring automated operation, the drill runs within ideal operating parameters for maximum bit life, hole accuracy, and reduced total cost of ownership.
